Fatal road accidents reported in Gua Musang and Kajang

Two separate fatal motorcycle accidents have been reported in Malaysia.

In Gua Musang, an 18-year-old male died after his motorcycle collided with a cow at Kilometer 11 of the Gua Musang-Kuala Krai road near Renok Baru. The impact caused the rider to be thrown onto the road while the motorcycle was dragged approximately 80 meters. The cow involved in the collision also died at the scene. Gua Musang District Police Chief Supt Sik Choon Foo stated the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

In Kajang, a 20-year-old motorcyclist died at a junction on Jalan Reko after colliding with a van. Preliminary investigations by Kajang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof suggest the white Toyota Hiace van was making a right turn while facing a red light when it was struck by the Yamaha motorcycle. The 71-year-old van driver was uninjured and tested negative for drugs. This incident is also being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
