Fatal road collisions kill motorcyclist in Portugal and driver in Brazil

In Guimarães, Portugal, a 44‑year‑old motorcycle stand manager, Pedro Batista, and his passenger, Fátima Pereira, were killed when their bike collided with a commercial van on National Road 105 near the parish of Conde. The van driver was taken to Hospital de Guimarães.

In Maripá de Minas, Brazil, 46‑year‑old Rovany dos Anjos Curcio died after his pickup was struck in a four‑vehicle crash on BR‑267 near km 45. The collision involved two pickups, a box truck and a 30‑metre trailer. The other three drivers escaped serious injury, and traffic was reduced to a single lane while investigators examined the scene.
