Fatal shootings of two 28-year-old men reported in Rio Grande and Macaíba

Two separate fatal shootings involving 28-year-old men were reported in Brazil on Friday, March 21.

In Rio Grande, a 28-year-old man was shot and killed in the São João neighborhood. The Civil Police are investigating a possible motive involving a romantic dispute, with the victim's cousin identified as the primary suspect. Authorities have not yet located or arrested the suspect.

In Macaíba, Jonas Monteiro, also 28, was shot and killed inside a gym in the Macaíba Parque neighborhood. The attack caused panic among patrons before the assailants fled the scene. Investigators are looking into whether the victim's routine was monitored prior to the attack and are reviewing security footage to identify the perpetrators.
