Fatal shootings reported in Katlehong and Langa

Two separate shooting incidents in South Africa have resulted in multiple fatalities. In Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, the death toll has risen to four after two additional victims succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. The victims, aged 21 and 23, were members of the African National Congress (ANC) and were returning from a memorial service at Mogobeng Primary School when the attack occurred. The Gauteng Political Killings Task Team is investigating the motive.

In Langa, two men aged 20 and 25 were shot dead inside a vehicle on Teenage Vuso Street. A third individual was hospitalized with injuries. Community leaders expressed shock at the brazen nature of the attack, which occurred in broad daylight. Police have registered two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, though no arrests have been made.
