Fatal traffic accidents reported in Los Ángeles and Romeral
Two separate fatal traffic accidents occurred in Chile on Tuesday. In the Biobío Region, a collision between a jeep and a pickup truck on Route Q61R near Los Ángeles resulted in two deaths, including Lilian Monje, an assistant at the Liceo Agroindustrial Llano Blanco. The accident occurred at high speed near a curve, and the school has suspended all activities to mourn the loss. Other staff members and a student were involved and are being monitored.
In the commune of Romeral, a 54-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Cristian Cáceres, died following an accident on Route J-55 near the La Cañada Bridge. Preliminary reports suggest that heavy rainfall may have caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Local police are investigating the circumstances of the crash and whether other vehicles were involved.
