Fatal traffic accidents reported in Mexico and Colombia

Two separate fatal traffic accidents have been reported in Mexico and Colombia.

In the town of Amado Nervo, also known as El Conde, in the state of Nayarit, Mexico, a train struck a pickup truck carrying highway workers. Preliminary reports indicate that two workers were killed in the collision. Emergency responders, including Civil Protection from Ahuacatlán and the Red Cross from Guadalajara, used specialized cutting equipment to extract individuals trapped in the vehicle. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

In Cúcuta, Colombia, a 46-year-old man identified as Jean Wilson Gregorio Castellanos Hernández died following a multi-vehicle collision on the Anillo Vial Occidental. The accident involved a white pickup truck and two motorcycles. Witnesses suggest the crash was caused by a sudden lane invasion by the truck, which struck the motorcycles. This incident marks the fifth traffic-related fatality in the Norte de Santander region this month.
