Fatal traffic accidents reported in Rudník and Ostrava

Multiple fatal traffic accidents have been reported in the Czech Republic, involving motorists and pedestrians.

In Rudník, a 47-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a Volkswagen on the I/14 road. Police indicate the driver of the car, who tested negative for alcohol and drugs, failed to yield the right of way to the Aprilia motorcycle while entering the road from a non-communicated area. The incident is being investigated as potential negligent homicide.

In Ostrava, two separate incidents resulted in severe injuries and death. In the Kunčičky district, a 60-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a Škoda Superb near a crosswalk. Witnesses attempted first aid, including indirect cardiac massage, but the victim died despite emergency medical intervention.

In the Místek area of Ostrava, a motorcyclist attempting to weave between a bus and a car struck a 65-year-old man on a pedestrian crossing. The motorcyclist died at the scene following unsuccessful resuscitation attempts. The pedestrian was airlifted to a university hospital in critical condition with severe head and limb injuries.
