Fatal vehicle accidents reported in California and Idaho

Multiple fatal vehicle accidents were reported in California and Idaho over the weekend of September 25-27, 2026.

In Anderson, California, a head-on collision occurred on Dersch Road when a Chevrolet Silverado crossed into the westbound lane and struck a Nissan Xterra. The 22-year-old driver of the Nissan was killed, and a 15-year-old passenger sustained a broken wrist and clavicle. The driver of the Silverado, a 23-year-old man, was arrested following the crash; investigators believe alcohol and drugs were factors.

In Idaho, two separate incidents resulted in two deaths and four injuries. In Boundary County, a 1978 Chevrolet pickup left State Highway 1 and struck trees on an embankment, killing the 20-year-old driver and leaving a passenger in critical condition. In Boise County, a fatal head-on collision occurred on State Highway 21 when a Lexus GX460 crossed the center line, resulting in the death of a female passenger.
