Fatal vehicle accidents reported in Wrightwood and Anaheim

Two separate fatal vehicle accidents occurred in California, resulting in multiple deaths.

In a crash near Wrightwood, four people were killed and two others were critically injured after a vehicle drove off a mountain road near the Los Angeles-San Bernardino County line. The incident took place early Friday morning on Angeles Crest Highway and Flume Canyon Road near the eastern edge of the Angeles National Forest. Emergency responders faced challenges due to passengers being scattered outside the vehicle. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the rollover.

In Anaheim, three teenagers were killed and one person was injured when a vehicle crashed off the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway at the Lincoln Avenue off-ramp. The driver of a Ford Edge reportedly veered off the road, striking a guardrail and a concrete pillar before overturning in the brush. Investigators noted that the occupants appeared not to be wearing seat belts. The crash caused temporary closures to several lanes of the freeway.
