Fatal vehicle collisions reported in France and Canada

Two separate fatal traffic accidents occurred on September 4 in France and Canada.

In France, a violent collision involving three vehicles took place on the Creil-Clermont route near Nogent-sur-Oise and Laigneville. A young driver died after their vehicle ended up on its roof. Witnesses reported that the vehicle involved appeared to be traveling at high speeds and may have been participating in a street race, subsequently striking two other vehicles from behind. Investigators from Creil are looking into the possibility of a wild car chase, and authorities may use speed camera data to identify other vehicles that may have fled the scene.

In Gatineau, Canada, a head-on collision on Boulevard des Allumettières in the Aylmer sector resulted in two deaths and one critical injury. The accident involved two vehicles carrying three people near midnight. The Boulevard des Allumettières and Chemin Vanier have faced closures to allow forensic technicians and police to conduct investigations. The Gatineau Police Service has not released the identities of the victims.
