Fatal traffic accidents reported in multiple Japanese regions
Several fatal traffic accidents have been reported across different regions in Japan.
In Sasebo, a 54-year-old company employee died after his condition deteriorated following an arrest for suspected drunk driving. The man had collided with a light cargo vehicle while attempting a right turn on Route 204. After being taken to a police station, he complained of illness and was transported to a hospital, where he died from hemorrhagic shock due to intra-abdominal bleeding.
In Nonoichi, an elderly man was struck and killed by a large cargo truck on Route 8. The incident occurred around 3:40 AM while the man was standing on the road.
In Kamikoani Village, an 83-year-old man died following a head-on collision between his light vehicle and a truck on Route 285. Despite being airlifted to a hospital by doctor helicopter, he passed away due to tension pneumothorax.
