Fatalities reported in Austria and Romania during medical-related incidents

Two separate incidents involving fatalities during or after medical-related activities have been reported in Austria and Romania.

In Zell am Ziller, Austria, a 79-year-old Hungarian man was found dead in the backseat of his car at a local service station. After his vehicle broke down on a mountain road and was towed to a dealership, the man was discovered by an employee on Sunday. An autopsy has ruled out foul play, determining that the man died of natural causes. It is suspected he may have been attempting to retrieve medication from the vehicle.

In Romania, a man in his 40s died while undergoing gas therapy at the Büdösfürdő resort in the Hargita Mountains. Emergency services found two men unconscious in a mofetta, a natural gas emission site. While one man was transported to the hospital, the other could not be revived. Authorities are investigating the circumstances, noting that the high concentration of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide in the area poses significant risks if individuals bend below permitted levels.
