Fatalities reported in Venezuela and Uruguay

In Venezuela, two separate traffic accidents in Yaracuy state have resulted in fatalities. José David Gil Rodríguez, a 21-year-old, died at the Hospital Central Dr. Plácido Daniel Rodríguez Rivero after a motorcycle collision in the Independencia municipality. Authorities suggest driver imprudence caused the crash. Additionally, María Josefina Sánchez passed away following an accident in Nirgua where a vehicle, attempting to avoid potholes, struck her and her daughter. Local residents have protested the poor condition of the roads.

In Uruguay, an investigation has been launched following the death of a 64-year-old man at the Hospital Regional Salto. The patient reportedly experienced a rapid physical deterioration and respiratory arrest while waiting in the triage area after an initial assessment failed to detect immediate gravity. While the police notified the Prosecutor's Office, the hospital director, Gabriela González, stated that an internal investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events.
