Fatboy Slim announces 30th anniversary reissue of debut album

Norman Cook, performing as Fatboy Slim, has announced a 30th anniversary reissue of his debut album, ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’. Originally released in 1996, the record is credited with helping define the big beat movement.

The reissue will be available in several formats. A digital edition is scheduled for release on 25 September, featuring expanded reworks from artists including Sem Jacobs, Chinonegro, and Ammo Avenue. Physical editions, including a half-speed mastered 2LP set and a 2CD set with a bonus disc of B-sides and rarities, are expected to follow on 2 October via Skint Records and BMG.

The anniversary package will also include new liner notes written by music critic Alexis Petridis, providing insight into the album’s legacy and influence on British dance music.
