Fatboy Slim announces deluxe reissue of debut album for 30th anniversary
British musician Norman Cook, performing as Fatboy Slim, is releasing a deluxe digital edition of his debut album, ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’, to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The expanded release is scheduled for September 25 and will feature exclusive bonus tracks, including B-sides, rare material, and new remixes by Sem Jacobs, Chinonegro, and Ammo Avenue.
Originally released in 1996, the album was a pivotal moment for the Big Beat genre, blending elements of house, hip-hop, funk, and reggae. It marked Cook’s first release to chart outside the United Kingdom, featuring notable tracks such as ‘Everybody Needs a 303’ and ‘Going Out of My Head’. Cook described the album as a period of experimentation and madness that served as the beginning of his musical career.
