Fatboy Slim to reissue debut album ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’

Fatboy Slim, the moniker for Norman Cook, is set to reissue his influential 1996 debut album, ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’, to mark its 30th anniversary. The reissue aims to celebrate the record that helped define the big beat movement by blending hip-hop, funk, house, reggae, and indie elements.

The anniversary campaign includes various formats. A 2LP edition will be remastered at half speed for enhanced sonic detail, while a 2CD set will feature an exclusive bonus disc containing B-sides, rare material, and a new remix by Sem Jacobs. Digital versions will include additional remixes from Chinonegro and Ammo Avenue.

Physical editions will feature new liner notes by music critic Alexis Petridis, providing context on the album’s cultural legacy and its role in paving the way for Cook’s subsequent success. The digital edition is scheduled for release on September 25, followed by CD and vinyl versions on October 2.
