Fatehpur police raid religious gathering over conversion allegations

Police in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, conducted a raid on a religious gathering in the Hussainganj police station area following reports from Bajrang Dal activists. The raid took place at a residence in Azad Nagar, Satmil village, where several women had gathered.

Authorities allege that the gathering was being used to induce religious conversion by promising to cure illnesses and disabilities. During the raid, police recovered three Bibles and questioned the women present. A case has been registered against a woman identified as Rajkumari for allegedly misleading women under the guise of healing to promote conversion. An investigation is currently underway.
