Father Jeremy Zipple recovers after successful brain tumor surgery
Father Jeremy Zipple, a Jesuit priest known for his work at St. Martin De Porres and St. John’s College in Belize, has successfully undergone surgery to remove a golf ball-sized brain tumor. The procedure took place in Houston, Texas, after the tumor was discovered while Zipple was visiting family in the United States.
Zipple is currently recovering in a neuro-intensive care unit. While doctors are awaiting biopsy results to confirm, they believe the tumor is non-cancerous. Zipple expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support from the Belizean community during his recovery.
In his updates, Zipple also requested prayers for others facing medical challenges, including Milagro Garel, a children’s advocate in Belize who is recovering from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm and receiving specialized care in Guatemala.
