Father John Misty announces first solo tour since 2013

Singer-songwriter Father John Misty, born Josh Tillman, has announced his first solo tour since 2013. The eight-date tour is scheduled to begin on December 9 at the Boulder Theatre in Colorado and will conclude with two performances at the Sunset Cultural Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, on December 18 and 19. Damien Jurado is set to join the December dates as a special guest.

The tour announcement coincides with the release of his new single, ‘The X-panded Universe’, released September 29 through Sub Pop Records. This marks his third single of the year, following ‘The Old Law’ in January and ‘The Payoff’ in May. The new track is described as a downtempo, pensive piece that transitions from a brooding first half into an orchestral finale.
