Father Vítor Sousa Celebrated at Monte Sanctuary Mass in Funchal

Hundreds of faithful, family members and friends attended a Thanksgiving Mass at the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Monte on Sunday morning. The service marked the 10th anniversary of Father Vítor Sousa’s ordination and his first Mass as parish priest.

Attendees included former parishioners from the Capela da Penha de França, where he began his ministry, and members of numerous parish groups such as the Confraternities, acolytes, youth group, musical ensemble, missionaries and choir. Father Vítor Sousa has served as parish priest of Nossa Senhora do Monte since 2018, and the celebration highlighted his decade of pastoral work in the Diocese of Funchal.
