Fathi Khazem killed by Israeli forces during Jenin raid

Israeli special forces killed Palestinian leader Fathi Khazem, known as ‘Abu Raad’, during a raid on his home in Jenin, West Bank. Local sources report that forces stormed his residence in the city's main roundabout area, shot him, and subsequently seized his body, transporting it to an unknown location.

Reports indicate that an ambulance was prevented from reaching the scene, leaving Khazem to bleed to death. While local accounts describe a targeted assassination, Israeli Channel 12 reported that a Palestinian was killed by soldiers in Jenin following an alleged attempted stabbing.

Khazem was a retired colonel in the Palestinian National Security Forces and had been a wanted individual by Israel. He became a symbol of resistance in the Jenin refugee camp following the deaths of his two sons, Raad and Abd al-Rahman, in separate incidents involving Israeli forces in 2022.
