Fathom attempts Guinness World Record with nine concerts in 12 hours

Sydney musical duo Fathom is attempting to set a Guinness World Record by performing nine concerts within a 12-hour period. The marathon performance tour aims to raise funds for the charity Beyond Blue.

The route spans New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, with stops including Singleton, Newcastle, Gosford, Sydney, Penrith, Lithgow, Bathurst, Goulburn, and Canberra. To meet Guinness World Records requirements, each venue must be located in an area with a population of at least 15,000 and be at least 50 kilometres apart from the others.

Fathom will play 15-minute sets at each location. The Lithgow stop is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, at The Donnybrook. The record attempt seeks to surpass the current benchmark of eight concerts held by UK performer Minhee Jones in 2019.
