Fatih Erbakan visits Çubuk to discuss economy and political alliances

Fatih Erbakan, leader of the Yeniden Refah Party, visited the Çubuk district of Ankara as part of the party’s ‘Anadolu Buluşmaları’ (Anatolian Meetings) program. During his visit to the Çubuk district presidency, Erbakan addressed economic concerns, stating that minimum wage earners and retirees are struggling and highlighting income inequality in Turkey. He pledged that if his party takes power, they will prevent waste and stop the unfair transfer of resources to privileged holdings.

Addressing recent legislative activity, Erbakan clarified the party's stance on the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration. He denied claims that the party changed its mind regarding a vote in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, asserting that after consultations with committees and advisors, the decision to cast an abstention vote was the party's original and final position.

Regarding future political alignments, Erbakan noted that voters are seeking a ‘third way’ outside of the current government and the main opposition. He confirmed that discussions regarding a potential electoral alliance with the Saadet Party are ongoing.
