Fatih K. critically injured at Zonguldak mosque fountain, police probe assault

On 1 August 2026, Fatih K., a physically disabled man who uses a wheelchair, was discovered severely injured and bleeding in the ablution area of Duyar Mosque in Kozlu, Zonguldak Province, Turkey. He had gone to the mosque for the noon prayer and was found by passersby.

He was taken to Bülent Ecevit University Medical Faculty Hospital, where he was placed on a ventilator. Doctors reported serious damage to both kidneys and multiple bruises. The Kozlu District Police have opened a wide‑range investigation, treating the case as a possible assault and seeking any suspects.
