Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University opens interactive museum

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy visited the 555th Anniversary Interactive Museum at the Ayasofya Medresesi. The exhibition, prepared by Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, is themed ‘555 Years of Science and Education Journey’.

The museum aims to bridge historical scientific heritage with future visions, spanning a timeline from the conquest of 1453 and the establishment of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Han Foundation in 1471 to the year 2453. It utilizes digital tools to present the educational legacy of the Ayasofya Medresesi and the university’s current standing.

Minister Ersoy noted that the project carries the civilization's accumulated knowledge into the future using modern technological possibilities. The exhibition incorporates elements of imagination and reality to reflect the spiritual and academic atmosphere of the historical madrasas.
