Fatih Terim discusses Galatasaray tenure and loyalty

Former Galatasaray and Turkish National Team manager Fatih Terim has addressed his tenure at Galatasaray via his personal YouTube channel. Terim suggested that if he had remained at the club for 20 years, similar to Arsene Wenger, the outcomes would have been significantly different.

He clarified that his departure was not due to a lack of loyalty to the club or its community, but rather due to the decisions made by specific individuals in authority. Terim emphasized his concept of loyalty, stating that true loyalty is defined by remaining on the same path when facing storms or headwinds, rather than just during easy times.

Terim noted that while modern football sees frequent and rapid changes in club affiliations, he maintains a deep bond with the Galatasaray community. He stated that even if he is not actively working for the club, he will not abandon the community, remarking, “A person is remembered not by what they win, but by what they do not give up.”
