Fatma Zehra Önen, daughter of AK Party Deputy, passes away

Fatma Zehra Önen, the 23-year-old daughter of AK Party Şanlıurfa Deputy Abdulkadir Emin Önen, has passed away following health complications. Önen had been receiving treatment in a hospital after undergoing an operation last year.

A third-year student in the French Language and Literature Department at Galatasaray University, her death has drawn condolences from various political figures. Among those offering condolences were TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş, AK Party Deputy Chairman Ömer Çelik, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum.

The funeral service is scheduled to be held at the Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque in Istanbul following the afternoon prayer, with burial to take place at Kilyos Cemetery.
