Fatoş Seğmen loses daughter Alya Erdoğan

Former Miss Turkey runner-up, model, and actress Fatoş Seğmen has announced the death of her daughter, Alya Erdoğan. Seğmen shared the news via social media, posting an emotional farewell to her daughter.

Alya Erdoğan’s funeral is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Narlıdere Merkez Mosque in İzmir, followed by burial at the Narlıdere Yukarı Cemetery. The cause of death and any underlying health conditions have not been disclosed by the family.

This loss follows the death of Seğmen’s husband, Bülent Erdoğan, who passed away on August 31, 2025. Seğmen, a 2004 Miss Turkey participant who also represented Turkey at Miss Universe, has had a career spanning modeling, television hosting, and acting in various series and films.
