FAU announces 2026 Teaching Week focusing on AI and innovation

Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) has announced its 2026 Teaching Week, scheduled to take place from November 16 to 20. The event will focus on innovative teaching methods, featuring workshops, short presentations, and exchange opportunities.

A central theme for this year is the impact of generative AI on teaching, learning, and examination processes. Discussions will address how to design meaningful assessments in the age of artificial intelligence and explore the practical boundaries of the technology.

The program will also highlight key university projects, including TERRA (Transdisciplinary Education for Responsible Action), which aims to integrate sustainability into higher education through interdisciplinary approaches, and FAUstairs.
