Fauda season 5 reaches record Netflix streaming positions

The fifth season of the Israeli action thriller series ‘Fauda’ has achieved its highest-ever streaming position on Netflix, reaching number four among non-English language series globally. The season, created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, centers on the psychological and human impact of the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks.

Set two years after the attacks, the narrative follows the character Doron as he deals with PTSD while engaging in a mission involving a Hamas operative in France. The season has seen significant international reach, ranking number one in both Israel and Lebanon, and appearing in the top three in several Middle Eastern countries, including Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

Critics and viewers have noted the season's intense emotional depth and its focus on the trauma of the conflict, noting that the episodes specifically depicting the October 7 events have contributed to its high engagement and global viewership.
