Fauda season 5 to incorporate October 7 trauma
The fifth season of the Netflix series ‘Fauda’ will incorporate the trauma of the October 7 attacks. Creators Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff revealed that they had to restart the writing process entirely following the events in Israel, as they felt it was impossible to produce a show about the Middle East reality while ignoring such a significant event.
The new 11-episode season is set two years after the attacks. The plot follows the protagonist, Doron, who is depicted as a traumatized individual seeking therapy and a return to family life. However, he is drawn back into a dangerous operation in Marseille, France, involving a revenge mission.
Two specific episodes, the seventh and eighth, will focus directly on the events of October 7. The production, which included filming in Israel and Hungary, aims to explore themes of trauma, revenge, and the human cost of war.
