Faunaland prepares for Bandung Zoo management with Vantara collaboration

Faunaland, the upcoming manager of Bandung Zoo, hosted a delegation from India’s Vantara team to facilitate knowledge exchange regarding animal welfare, nutrition, and veterinary services. The visit serves as an initial step in Faunaland’s preparations for managing the zoo, focusing on conservation, habitat management, and environmental enrichment.

During the field review, Vantara veterinarian Dr. Yaduraj Khadpekar, an expert in elephant care, examined Salma, a Sumatran elephant at the zoo. Faunaland CEO Danny Gunalen stated that the company intends to implement a modern city zoo concept that integrates urban conservation with education and visitor experience, building upon their previous work at Faunaland Ancol and Faunaland Buperta Cibubur.
