Faustine Bollaert responds to social media criticism of her appearance

French television presenter Faustine Bollaert has publicly addressed a wave of negative comments regarding her physical appearance on social media. The backlash followed an Instagram video she posted to celebrate the upcoming tenth season of her show, ‘Ça commence aujourd’hui’, which is scheduled to return to France 2 on August 24.

In the video, filmed without makeup in her garden, Bollaert faced various criticisms and speculations from internet users, including claims of cosmetic surgery, excessive aging, and weight loss. Bollaert expressed that she was ‘sidérée’ (stunned) by the comments, which included insults regarding her nose, eyebrows, wrinkles, and weight.

Responding to the criticism, Bollaert clarified that she has not undergone any surgical procedures. She noted that at 47 years old, she had simply spent the summer enjoying the sun and laughter before preparing for her show’s return.
