Favara celebrates San Giuseppe with folk festivals and Shakespearean performances

The city of Favara is hosting a series of cultural events in Piazza Cavour as part of the San Giuseppe festivities. The program includes a diverse range of artistic performances, including poetry, dance, and prose.

Scheduled performances include a poetry reading by Filippo Stagno, followed by dance productions from the Contemporary School Dance. These include an ‘Alice’ production inspired by Tim Burton and a Shakespearean-themed show titled ‘Le giovani donne di Shakespeare… Sogni e amori senza tempo,’ which represents the province of Agrigento as part of the Sicilia Shakespeare Festival 2026.

Additionally, the Fawar Folk Fest is being held, featuring a performance by Neja, an icon of 1990s dance music. The event aims to bring together different generations through music and folklore during the ‘Notte Bianca’ celebrations.
