Favara provides free transport for film about Gaetano Guarino

A free shuttle service has been organized to transport residents from Favara to the Cinema Concordia in Agrigento for the screening of the film ‘Tradimento e potere’ (Betrayal and Power). The initiative, a collaboration between the film's production and Patti Autolinee, specifically aims to assist elderly citizens and those with mobility challenges.

The shuttle will operate on Wednesday, November 4, for the 18:30 screening. It is scheduled to depart from Piazza Itria at 17:30, with subsequent stops at Piazza della Libertà (Conzu) at 17:35 and Corso Vittorio Veneto (Scaletta) at 17:40. Residents can reserve seats by contacting Patti Autolinee.

The film, produced by the Città Aperta cultural association, chronicles the life of Gaetano Guarino, a pharmacist and mayor of Favara who was assassinated in May 1946 after only 65 days in office. The production was completed without public funding and involved the work of over 230 people, including technicians, actors, and collaborators.
