Favignana barista assaulted by group after littering dispute

A barista in Favignana was assaulted by a group of four young men following a dispute over a cigarette butt thrown on the ground. The incident occurred at a venue near Praia beach.

According to the victim's report, the confrontation began when he asked one individual not to litter. The group allegedly immobilized the man and struck him repeatedly, including blows to the throat. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault. The victim received medical attention at a local clinic and subsequently filed a formal complaint with the Carabinieri.

The victim identified the attackers as four young men of Moroccan nationality employed on the island, though investigators are still working to verify this information. Authorities are currently reviewing local surveillance footage to identify the suspects.
