Fayoum Governor Mohamed Ghanim inspects exam centers and targets illegal construction
Governor Mohamed Hani Ghanim of Egypt’s Fayoum governorate conducted on‑site inspections of several high‑school examination committees, checking security, lighting, ventilation and the presence of medical staff. He confirmed police were stationed outside exam venues to maintain order and reported that 42 committees are prepared for the 2025/2026 secondary‑school exams, serving 22,954 students across literary, scientific and technical streams, including special‑needs and international schools.
In a separate meeting, the governor convened city council leaders, engineering directors and technical officials to address illegal spatial variables – unauthorized construction on state and agricultural lands. He ordered rapid removal of violations, coordination among municipalities, and legal action against offenders, emphasizing a zero‑tolerance policy for future breaches.
