Fazenda Rio Grande man arrested for supermarket whiskey theft
A man was arrested in the Jardim Veneza neighborhood of Fazenda Rio Grande, in the Curitiba metropolitan region, after being caught attempting to steal two bottles of whiskey from a supermarket.
The suspect was identified by the store's monitoring system and was confronted by security personnel after exiting the premises. During the apprehension, a physical struggle occurred between the man and the security team before the Municipal Guard arrived to take him into custody.
According to the Municipal Guard, the suspect claimed he intended to resell the alcohol to purchase milk for his children. Authorities noted that the individual was already known to the establishment due to previous theft attempts at the same location.
