Fintech firms Fazeshift and Maverick Payments deploy AI automation

Fazeshift has secured an investment from Amex Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of American Express, to advance its AI-native finance automation platform. This funding follows a $22 million Series A led by F-Prime earlier in 2026. The company develops autonomous AI agents designed to automate end-to-end accounts receivable workflows, including invoicing, payment reconciliation, and collections.

In a separate development in the fintech sector, Maverick Payments has integrated Findustry AI’s Chargeback Agent into its unified payments platform. The integration allows merchants to automate the dispute workflow for chargebacks. The AI agent is designed to collect evidence from merchant systems, interpret card network requirements, and submit completed rebuttals to reduce the manual burden on businesses.
