Fazlı Eryılmaz wins Karakucak Wrestling World Championship

National wrestler Fazlı Eryılmaz has secured the gold medal in the 75 kg category at the Keçiören Senior Karakucak Wrestling World Championship held in Ankara. Eryılmaz, who competes for Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor, defeated an Azerbaijani opponent in the final to claim the title.

Coming from a family of wrestlers, the 29-year-old athlete previously earned bronze medals at the 2020 Individual World Cup, the 2021 World Wrestling Championship, and the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games. Eryılmaz stated that he maintains a rigorous training schedule of five to six hours daily. His primary long-term objective is to win a medal at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
