FBC Melgar vs. Atlético Grau rescheduled due to travel issues

The Liga 1 match between FBC Melgar and Atlético Grau has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 1, at 3:00 p.m. The fixture, part of the seventh round of the Torneo Clausura, will take place at the Estadio Municipal Ambrosio Maco Arroyo in La Matanza, Piura.

The rescheduling follows the cancellation of a flight intended to transport the Melgar delegation from Arequipa to Piura due to airline logistical issues. According to the Peruvian Professional Football League (LFP), no alternative transport options were available to meet the original Monday schedule, prompting the postponement within the required 24-hour regulatory window.

FBC Melgar enters the match with 11 points in the Torneo Clausura and 39 points in the cumulative table. A victory could move the Arequipa-based team into third place, trailing leaders Universitario and Deportivo Garcilaso by only two points. Atlético Grau currently sits in tenth place in the Clausura tournament with 10 points.
