FBI arrests Indian national Harmanveer Singh in California drug trafficking case

The FBI arrested Harmanveer Singh, an Indian national, on July 23, 2026 in Stockton, California. Singh is alleged to have worked for the Ravinder Dhanda Organised Crime Group, a drug trafficking network based in Vancouver, Canada, that smuggles large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

His arrest is part of Operation Hard Ball, a coordinated international enforcement effort targeting three India‑based transnational crime groups led by Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Ravinder Dhanda. The operation previously resulted in the arrest of 24 individuals in the United States, Canada and Europe and the charging of 37 people by the U.S. Department of Justice. Singh faces charges of conspiracy to distribute, possess with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to export controlled substances.
