FBI Director Kash Patel addresses reports regarding Russia travel

FBI Director Kash Patel has declined to rule out future travel to Russia, stating that the FBI and the Department of Justice will go “wherever we need to go to mete out justice for the American people.”

Responding to reports and claims that he had already traveled to Moscow for meetings with the Russian security service, Patel dismissed the allegations as false. He clarified that he was actually at Liberty University in Virginia during the time in question, where he spoke with students and law enforcement professionals.

Patel defended the bureau’s international presence, noting that the FBI maintains 125 offices overseas. He emphasized that the agency intends to engage with both allies and adversaries to address criminal threats, locate missing persons, and combat cyberattacks.
