FBI Enforces Drone No‑Fly Zones Around World Cup Venues in Florida
The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced temporary flight restrictions for drones around Hard Rock Stadium and the fan‑festival site at Bayfront Park during the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches in Florida. The restrictions, issued under FAA‑imposed Temporary Flight Restrictions, are intended to protect public safety.
Violators may face civil fines up to $75,000, criminal fines up to $100,000, up to one year in prison and seizure of the drone. FBI Miami officials urged operators to check the FAA TFR website or approved apps before flying and said agents and partner law‑enforcement officers have authority to intercept and seize unauthorized drones.
