FBI Offers $15K Reward After Newborn Found Dead at Michigan Festival
A newborn, less than 28 days old, was discovered dead in a portable toilet at the Electric Forest music festival in Rothbury, Michigan on June 28. The body was found by a restroom‑service employee and a preliminary autopsy confirmed the infant was born alive.
The FBI’s Detroit field office, working with Michigan State Police, announced a $15,000 reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Investigators have spoken with a Muskegon woman who attended the festival; she has been ruled out as a suspect but may have relevant information. Police urge anyone with tips to contact Michigan State Police or submit a tip online.
