The Federal Bureau of Investigation said it disrupted a terrorist scheme to use explosive‑laden drones and armed shooters against the White House lawn event marking President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday. The celebration featured an UFC Freedom 250 fight and attracted thousands of spectators.

Authorities disclosed that the plot, motivated by hostility toward “capitalist elites” and pro‑Israeli officials, was first identified on June 10. A coordinated operation in Cincinnati, Ohio, led to the arrest of five suspects. The investigators cited intercepted Signal communications as key evidence.
