FBI Thwarts Threat to Trump’s White House MMA Birthday Celebration

FBI Director Kash Patel announced that a potential attack on the UFC America 250 mixed‑martial‑arts event held in the South Lawn of the White House for President Donald Trump's 80th birthday was neutralized. The agency said several individuals were detained and the plot involved participants from outside the Washington, D.C., area, with the investigation spanning multiple states.

The celebration turned the White House garden into a combat arena for more than 4,000 invited guests, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Paramount Pictures head David Ellison. An adjacent park hosted a giant screen that allowed roughly 100,000 spectators to watch the fights live.
