Fábio Faria audio discusses avoiding Alexandre de Moraes in Trancoso trip

Leaked audio messages from August 2024 reveal that former Communications Minister Fábio Faria discussed a potential trip to Trancoso, Bahia, with several political figures, noting that Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister Alexandre de Moraes would not attend.

In a WhatsApp group including Senator Ciro Nogueira and Deputy Hugo Motta, Faria suggested a gathering at the mansion of Daniel Vorcaro, a former controller of Banco Master. Faria referred to Moraes as “o careca” (the bald one) and suggested his absence was beneficial, stating, “I think it is even good, right? At this moment now I think it was too much risk for him.”

The messages were disclosed by journalist Lauro Jardim. While the audio indicates the possibility of Moraes's participation was discussed, it does not confirm whether an invitation was extended to him or if the meeting took place as planned. The timing of the messages coincided with judicial actions taken by Moraes, including the seizure of mobile phones belonging to pastor Silas Malafaia.
