FBNBank Senegal named official bank partner for Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics

FBNBank Senegal, a subsidiary of FirstBank Group, has become the first Official Bank Partner for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. The event is scheduled to take place in Senegal from October 31 to November 13, 2026.

This partnership marks the first time an Olympic event will be hosted on African soil. The Games are expected to host approximately 2,700 athletes representing more than 200 countries under the theme “Africa Welcomes, Dakar Celebrates.”

Through its First@Sports initiative, FirstBank Group aims to support youth empowerment, leadership development, and social inclusion. Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director and CEO of FirstBank Group, stated that investing in young people is a vital way to secure the prosperity and stability of the continent.
