Romanian SuperLiga 2026‑27 fixtures drawn, clubs unveil transfer plans

The Romanian Football Federation held the SuperLiga 2026‑27 draw at the Marriott hotel in Bucharest on 26 June. The season opens on the weekend of 18‑19 July 2026, with the Supercupa scheduled for 12 July between Universitatea Craiova and Universitatea Cluj.

Universitatea Craiova announced several new signings and contract extensions. Defender Adrian Rus extended to 2027, goalkeeper Răzvan Sava arrived from Udinese, and left‑winger Webster Ronaldo joined the squad. Coach Sorin Cârțu said, “We are stronger than last season and the moves we have made show that.”

FC Argeș began its summer camp in Slovenia with a 2‑0 friendly win over FK Cukaricki, while CFR Cluj appointed former player Ciprian Deac as vice‑president; Deac said the role is “practically another job.”

FCSB confirmed veteran defender Valentin Crețu’s contract extension to December, noting he accepted a lower salary because “I love this club.” Meanwhile, midfielder Florin Tănase has not reported to the pre‑season camp, prompting criticism from owner Gigi Becali and former international Ilie Dumitrescu.

The league now features a record seven foreign coaches at the start of the season, with Portugal supplying the most (12 coaches).
